What is Over 2.5 Goals betting?

Exactly what it says on the tin! Betting on Over 2.5 Goals is betting on three or more goals to be scored in the match. The goals can be scored by either team, so 3-0 pays out just as 2-1 does, or indeed if there are more than three goals - whether the match finishes 2-2, 2-1, 0-8, 4-4 or any other high-scoring result!

The reason the bookmakers have named this bet as Over 2.5 Goals rather than simply 'over 2 goals' is to avoid confusion as to whether this does or does not include matches that have finished with two goals. The decimal point makes this easier to understand.
